This is home. Every jar of Mr. & Mrs. Tallow is rendered and jarred by hand right here in Fletcher — a small Henderson County town on the flats between Asheville and Hendersonville, tucked under the Blue Ridge just off the French Broad.
Fletcher grew up along the old airport road and the pasture land south of Asheville, the kind of place where the mountains start rising at the edge of the yard and doing things the slow way never went out of fashion. When we say small-batch and local, this is the batch and this is the local — nothing ships from anywhere but here.
Tallow is rendered beef fat, and its fatty-acid profile — mostly oleic, stearic, and palmitic — is close to the oils your own skin makes, so it tends to sink in rather than sit on top.

Tallow is rendered beef fat. Its fatty-acid profile — mostly oleic, stearic, and palmitic — is close to the oils skin makes on its own, so it absorbs rather than sitting on top. Grass-fed tallow also carries the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K.
