Tallow skincare in Brevard, NC

Brevard is a short mountain drive from our Fletcher kitchen — up into Transylvania County, the land of waterfalls. Slow-rendered grass-fed tallow, and it doesn't have far to travel to get here.

Made right near Brevard

Brevard is white squirrels, DuPont and Pisgah forests, hundreds of waterfalls, and the Brevard Music Center every summer. It's hard outdoor country, the kind of place where wind, sun, and cold water are rough on skin. A slow-rendered tallow balm was practically made for a Transylvania County winter.

Why grass-fed tallow

Skin recognizes tallow because it’s so much like sebum, the oil skin makes on its own. That’s why a little goes a long way, and why it suits dry, tight, or wind-worn skin.

Tallow Skincare in Brevard — FAQ

Does Mr. & Mrs. Tallow ship to Brevard, NC?

Yes. We ship grass-fed tallow balm to Brevard, North Carolina and across the United States. Every jar is rendered and jarred by hand in Fletcher, North Carolina.

What is tallow skincare?

Tallow is rendered beef fat. Its fatty-acid profile — mostly oleic, stearic, and palmitic — is close to the oils skin makes on its own, so it absorbs rather than sitting on top. Grass-fed tallow also carries the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K.

Where is Mr. & Mrs. Tallow made?

In Fletcher, North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge foothills just south of Asheville. Every batch is rendered slow and whipped by hand in small runs.

What is the difference between the His and Hers tallow balm?

Both use the same grass-fed tallow base. His is heavier and barely scented; Hers is whipped lighter and softened with a little honey.
